Ontario providing $28M to Parry Sound-Muskoka municipalities

The province is investing over $28.1 million dollars into municipalities across the Parry Sound-Muskoka region in 2025.
According to local MPP Graydon Smith, the funding, provided through the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund, is $2.6 million more than what was dished out this year.
“Our government continues to make historic investments into communities across Parry Sound-Mukoka,” said MPP Graydon Smith. “We are giving municipalities the funds they require to deliver critical municipal services to their residents. As a former mayor and President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario, I know firsthand how critical these unconditional funds are for our communities.”
The funding is the provinces main general assistance grant to municipalities, and can be used how they see fit.
