The Parry Sound Santa Claus parade, scheduled for Nov. 30 at noon, has been cancelled.
Town officials made the decision at 2 p.m. on Nov. 29, citing an incoming winter storm.
“We regret to inform you that the 2024 Santa Claus Parade scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to an incoming winter storm. This decision was made in the interest of safety for all participants and spectators,” reads a statement from the Town.
Town staff and emergency services will be dedicated to ensuring the safety of our community during the incoming storm.
Snow squalls are expected to bring 30 to 40 cm of snow to the Parry Sound region on Nov. 30
However, the weather will not impact the CPKC Holiday Train. Officials say the train is still slated to make its stop in town at 4:30 p.m.
