Radiothon raising funds and awareness for Parry Sound Salvation Army

The Parry Sound Salvation Army is once again partnering with 103.3 Moose FM for an annual radiothon.

Friday, Dec. 6 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., 103.3 Moose FM will be raising awareness and funds for the local charitable organization.

According to Lieutenant Kyren Newbury, events like the radiothon are vital and allow the Salvation Army to provide support to those in need.

“Our Christmas campaign is our main fundraiser for the year. All of the money that comes in through the kettles, the radiothon, help us to run all of our programming through the year. Our work with the homeless, the foodbank, and support for anything we can do to help families in the community comes in through our Christmas campaign,” he said.

The 12-hour fundraising event will include special programming, interviews with hospital staff, and more.
