Parry Sound’s Harvest Share Food Bank needs donations.
Officials say Harvest Share provided food to 97 adults and 50 children last week. Seven of these individuals were first time visitors.
According to officials, keeping their shelves stocked has become a difficult task. Although the community has been generously donating non-perishable food, cash and gift cards, the food bank is still falling short of meeting a growing need.
Officials are once again asking for help. Some of the most needed items include fresh meat – brought with a receipt – pasta, peanut butter, low sugar cereal and canned soup.
Donations can be dropped off at 93 James Street.
