The average homeowner in Seguin Township will see their property taxes increase by $60 next year.
Council passed the 2025 operating and capital budgets at a special meeting Monday afternoon.
Town officials say the budget comes with a projected 4.05% increase for single family homes, and a 4.97% increase for waterfront homes.
For the average waterfront home owner, that equates to an increase of $222 dollars.
Included in the budget was a 37% raise to councillor pay. The $9,500 hike will take councillor wages to nearly $35,000 a year.
