Officials with Harvest Share say their biggest fundraiser of the year was a huge success.
The Festival of Trees, held on Dec. 7, generated $17,000 for the local food bank.
Officials say the fundraiser, which included tree and gift raffles, helps funds their Christmas Assistance Program.
The program provides residents in need with grocery gift cards, along with a food hamper, to alleviate some stress during the holiday season.
Harvest Share will be hosting a community Christmas dinner on Dec. 18 at Knights of Columbus Hall at 52 Church Street. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
