Magnetawan seeking help creating ‘Leekfest’ mascot

The Municipality of Magnetawan is holding a new festival this spring, and they are looking for help creating a mascot.

Leekfest, celebrating the mildly sweet vegetable, will be held Saturday May 3.

The festivals slogan is ‘I took a leek in Magnetawan.’

Officials are looking for fun, wild leek mascot designs, and will be accepting submissions until Feb. 24th.

The creator of the winning submission will receive a $300 dollar cash prize.
