Changes may be coming to the intersection of Bowes Street and Oastler Park Drive.
According to Mike Kearns, the Town’s Director of Public Works, staff are having ongoing discussions regarding the safety improvements that could be made to the intersection.
“We have been looking at what kind of options are available there. In its current configuration, (options) are somewhat limited,” said Kearns. “But we are talking about some different design alternatives that may be available. It would not be a very cheap rebuild of that intersection and would require some conversations with the province.”
He says staff are engaged in discussions with a certified road safety auditor, who has studied the intersection and is working on potential options for a redesign.
Conversations are ongoing.
