The 40th annual Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run takes place Saturday, Feb. 22 in Humphrey and Rosseau.
Organizers are celebrating the milestone anniversary with an expanded schedule of winter family fun.
“This year is a milestone for us,” said Dominque O’Brien, the Townships’ Director of Community Services.
“Those who are regulars at the event are going to be impressed by the expanded offerings and first-time visitors are sure to understand why this tradition has been beloved for decades.”
A pancake breakfast at the Humphrey Community Centre will kick off the festivities at 7:30 a.m. There you can meet the mushers and sled dog teams before the race at 10 a.m.
In Rosseau, there will be a kids zone, free sled dog rides, a concert featuring local musicians, a food hall, beer tent and more from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
