The Parry Sound Georgian Jumpers jump rope team has qualified for Nationals.
The local squad will be competing in the Canadian National Jump Rope Championships from May 16-19 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Team officials say it’s an amazing opportunity for their athletes to showcase their skills on a national stage, but they need a little help to get there.
A bottle drive fundraiser is being held April 19 at Parry Sound Beer Store and Sobeys from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Along with collecting empties, the team will be selling 50/50 tickets.
The team has also launched a GoFundMe to help raise funds for their trip.
