Seguin Township seeking community input on waste management

Seguin Township is asking for community input on the municipality’s seven waste transfer stations.

This public engagement exercise is a continuation of a project that started in 2023 when the Township partnered with Dillon Consulting Ltd. to create a solid waste management strategy, outlining a 20-year plan. Since that time, staff have identified the need for more in-depth analysis of financial challenges and opportunities for enhanced efficiency and service at the municipality’s transfer stations.

“Seguin Township staff is aware that operations at the Township transfer stations can be enhanced,” says Tom MacLeod, Director of Public Works. “This public engagement exercise will provide important data on specific user concerns, habits and potential solutions to better ensure long term sustainability and that the quality of our services align with our community’s priorities and the Township’s vision.”

Residents who use any of the seven stations in Seguin are encouraged to fill out a brief online survey. It ask about concerns, potential solutions, and suggested enhancements, among other things.

The survey can be found at letsconnectseguin.ca.
