It looks like Parry Sound-Muskoka will remain blue.
Incumbent Conservative Scott Aitchison has unofficially retained his seat in Parliament.
Aitchison collected just over 52% of votes to edge out the Liberal Party’s Geordie Sabbagh, who garnered 42.5%. NDP candidate Heather Hay finished third, while the PPC’s Isabel Pereira was fourth.
“I am obviously very excited about the results here in Parry Sound-Muskoka,” said Aitchison, who watched the election results trickle with supporters at a gathering at Canvas Brewing in Huntsville.
“I am honored that the people of this beautiful area have asked me to represent them one more time in the House of Commons and be their voice. It’s exhilarating and humbling all at the same time.”
