The OPP festive RIDE campaign finished up yesterday and the stats are out. West Parry Sound OPP set up 125 checkpoints across the district over the five week campaign and charged two drivers with drinking and driving related charges. Police also served three drivers with 3-day licence suspensions for having between .05 and .08 milligrams of blood alcohol content. Officers remind drivers that no amount of alcohol is safe at any time of the year when they are behind the wheel and police will continue to hold R.I.D.E. checkpoints throughout the province.
