The official opening of Parry Sound Public School will be held today. The new elementary school was built with the help of over $15 million in funding from the Ontario government and is now home to 640 students from Victory and William Beatty public schools. The school features a large single gym, a library featuring wooden accents, Early Learning Kindergarten classrooms, and a special education room along with meeting rooms. An opening ceremony will be held at the school this afternoon at 4:30pm with a reception and community open house from 5:30-7:30pm.
