Police are investigating a second snowmobile death this week in Almaguin. Almaguin Highlands OPP were called to Laurier Township yesterday afternoon around 1:30pm where a snowmobile driver lost control on trail C105D off River Road and was thrown from his machine. After being ejected from his sled, the 49-year-old man then hit another snowmobile coming from the opposite direction. Parry Sound EMS and the South River/Machar Fire Department attended the scene with police and pronounced the victim dead on the scene. A post mortem for Thomas Richey of Tonawanda, New York will be today.
