Witnesses to an arrest in Parry Sound are being asked to come forward. The Special Investigations Unit is asking anyone who witnessed an arrest by West Parry Sound OPP at 3 Albert Street in Parry Sound around 5:30pm on June 20th. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact the lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529 ext. 2150 or fill out a Witness Form on the SIU’s website. The SIU is an arm’s length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
