A South River man faces impaired driving charges thanks to tip from the public

Police have charged a South River man with impaired driving after responding to a public complaint.

Almaguin Highlands OPP was patrolling in the Village of South River on October 3rd when they were dispatched to a possible impaired driver.  Officers found the suspect vehicle on Highway 124 and after speaking with the driver, arrested and charged the 63-year-old man driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood.

He was released and will appear in a Sundridge court next month to answer to his charge.
