The Resource Centre for Independent Living is once again a member of The Parry Sound Chamber of Commerce.
The non-profit charitable organization better known as RISE has been serving the Parry Sound community since 1998, helping those living with disabilities and their families.
Working with local groups such as Community Living Parry Sound, RISE is also involved with StopGap, a foundation dedicated to helping those using mobility aids such as wheelchairs.
RISE Executive Director Tammy Gould explains how this could help local business.
Gould says the centre was forced to move into the West Parry Sound Health Centre due to past funding concerns. Those issues have since been resolved and the organization is now on Isabella St. and the newest member of the chamber.
