Speeding truckers have more than radar to worry about as Project Slow Down wraps up.
The safety blitz targeting speeding commercial drivers was conducted by Northeast Regional OPP’s Highway Safety Division on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Along with radar, police employed the less known but more advanced Lidar to nab speeders.
Constable Andre Taschereau says the new technology provides better accuracy.

Project Slow Down focussed on highways in the Parry Sound and Sudbury districts, considered critical routes for transporting goods across Canada.
At total of 15 commercial truckers were charged with speeding.
