New funding from the Ontario government guarantees child care facilities at Parry Sound’s new school.
The Near North District School Board announced Thursday the province’s commitment of $555,000 towards an EarlyON Child and Family Centre at the school.
The centre will be included in the design of the new Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 school and will feature one infant room, one toddler room, and one pre-school room.
School Board Chair David Thompson says the Board of Trustees is pleased to see another reinvestment of tax dollars supporting the board’s long-term capital plan that modernizes local education.
The NNDSB hopes to have architectural services for the new school tendered by this spring.
