OPP charge drunk driver

PARRY SOUND, ON-The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Wasauksing man with drunk driving.

On November 1st, the OPP were conducting a routine vehicle patrol in the town of Parry Sound around 11:00 p.m. After pulling over the accused car, police determined that they had consumed alcohol.

Police brought the 59 year old back to the detachment and after administering tests, the accused was charged with operation while impaired and driving with cannabis readily available.

A 90-day Automatic Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) was issued to the accused and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 21st.
