PARRY SOUND, ON-The West Parry Sound OPP is investigating a fatal snowmobile crash in Wallbridge Township.
On February 29th, the OPP, West Parry Sound EMS, Ornge Air Ambulance, and the Britt Fire Department responded to a call around 4:30 p.m. about a collision involving two snowmobiles on a trail at Harris Lake Rd.
The investigation determined that both drivers were heading southbound when they left the trail.
Police identified 37-year-old Vasco Antunes of Toronto who was flung from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver is a 37-year-old from Toronto who sustained minor injuries and was later released after being treated.
The investigation is continuing with assistance from the North bay Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team.
