Emergency declared by the Municipality of McDougall

PARRY SOUND, ON-The Municipality of McDougall has declared a state of emergency during the COVID-19 outbreak.

McDougall Fire Chief Brian Leduc told the MyParrySoundNow.com newsroom this is a precaution that will allow council to take actions or make orders to protect the property, health, safety, and welfare of the community. 

Leduc said to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, some municipal facilities have started closing their doors to the public and plans have been put in place to start working with reduced staff.

The Municipality said that they will continue to monitor the situation and residents can visit McDougall’s website here for more information.
