Ontario nears 30,000 cases of COVID-19; recovery rate up slightly

Ontario has added another 356 cases of COVID-19.  That brings the province’s total to 29,403.

Another 30 residents and 22 staff of long-term care homes have been diagnosed in the last 24 hours.

The recovery rate is at 78.9-percent, up from yesterday.

There are now 776 people in the hospital with 121 patients in Intensive Care, with 94 on ventilators.

The province surpassed its daily testing goal by completing 20,882 in the last 24 hours.
