A 79-year-old Parry Sound man is facing multiple drug charges after police responded to a call last week.
West Parry Sound OPP says officers were alerted to a possible drug transaction on James Street shortly after 11 AM on Thursday.
Police say after arriving, officers found and seized approximately $1500 of suspected Hydromorphone, Clonazepam, and Oxycodone and over $3500 in cash.
OPP says a 79-year-old man from Parry Sound was arrested and charged with:
- Traffick in schedule 1 substance – opioid – two counts
- Traffick in schedule 4 substance
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada
Police says the accused was released and is set to appear before a judge in January.
