The Near North District School Board and Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation (OSSTF) have reached a new four-year collective agreement with the province.
The deal covers secondary and occasional teachers across the district.
“The new four-year collective agreement will continue to strengthen the relationship with valued secondary teaching and occasional teaching staff,” said NNDSB chair Erika Lougheed. “Their contribution to a safe and positive learning environment that supports student achievement and well-being is greatly appreciated.”
Previously at the provincial table, a voluntary binding interest arbitration agreement was ratified between OSSTF, the Council of Trustees’ Association and Ontario Public School Boards Association.
The latest agreement will run until Aug. 31, 2026.
“NNDSB appreciates the essential work and commitment of teaching staff and their contribution to supporting the pillars of the multi-year strategic plan,” said Craig Myles, director of education with the board. “NNDSB is grateful that the ratification of the four-year collective agreement has been completed.”
