A 32-year-old man is facing several charges after a spike belt was deployed on Highway 69 on Saturday.
According to the West Parry Sound OPP, officers received an alert from an automatic license plate reader at around 1 p.m. regarding a stolen vehicle.
Police say officers confirmed the vehicle was stolen from York Region and attempted to stop the car. A spike belt was deployed to bring the vehicle safely to a stop.
The driver, a man from China, is now facing multiple charges including, possession of property obtained by crime and driving without a license.
He was held for bail and is schedule to appear in court on April 10.
