The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is now offering dental services in Parry Sound.
The organization has relocated its offices from the Parry Sound mall, to a second floor unit above Shoppers Drug Mart at 90 Bowes Street.
According to officials, the new expanded location offers important services such as a sexual health clinic, vaccination clinic and oral health clinic.
Carol Zimbalatti, Medical Officer of Health, said the Health Unit is now providing some dental services to residents Parry Sound.
“This has opened up our services to a whole new set of clients that have difficult accessing oral health services in the community. We are talking specifically about seniors for the most part, but also low income adults and children,” she said.
Zimbalatti also said the health unit is in the midst of recruiting a dentist, so they can offer restorative dental services, along with maintenance and preventative care.
