Exhibit highlighting 125 years of curling in Parry Sound now on display

An exhibit celebrating 125 years of curling in Parry Sound is now on display at the Museum on Tower Hill.

According to museum manager and curator Nadine Hammond, the display is all about highlighting curling’s deep connection to the community.

Hammond says that curling was first mentioned in the town’s history in 1878, long before hockey.

The exhibit features several displays on several local curlers including Raymond Pavlove, Dennis Baskey and visually-impaired curler Bill Liggins.

It will be on display until the end of the year.
