The Labour Market Group is reporting a second straight month of year-over-year decreases in job postings in the Parry Sound District.
A total of 159 job postings were recorded in May.
LMG says that’s down nearly 15% from the same month last year, but up nearly 35% compared to this April.
The 81 unique employers posting jobs was also up slightly. The top five include:
- West Parry Sound Health Centre
- Near North District School Board
- Canadian Mental Health Association
- The Home Depot – Parry Sound
- Schlager Inc.
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry followed by Retail Trade and Accommodation and Food Services.
