Maple Leaf Marinas is hosting its annual “Fuel Your Hospital” fundraiser between Friday, Aug. 2 and the following Monday.
Up to 20 cents per litre of fuel pumped at any of Maple Leaf Marinas’ 20 locations along the Georgian Bay will be collected and shared between a handful of hospitals.
The hospital foundations that will benefit include the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge, Huntsville District Memorial Hospital, Georgian Bay General Hospital, West Parry Sound Health Centre, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, and the Brightshores Health System Owen Sound.
Derek Lubert, senior vice president of Maple Leaf Marinas, says he’s grateful for the support the fundraiser has received since it was established four years ago.
“We are incredibly proud of how this fundraiser has grown, thanks to the unwavering support from our partners and boaters,” he says. “As we enter our 4th year, with all our marinas now participating, we are excited about the possibility of surpassing the $100,000 donation mark.”
Maple Leaf Marinas recently acquired its 20th marina, Port Sandfield Marina in Port Carling.
