A 45-year-old from Wasauksing First Nation and a 58-year-old from Barry’s Bay are facing an indignity to a dead body charge after police located a deceased person on Wasauksing First Nation on Oct. 21.
West Parry Sound OPP says the Anishinabek Police Service was conducting a follow-up to a missing person on Lane D, on Wasauksing First Nation around 3:00 p.m. when the body was found.
Both of the accused are scheduled to appear in North Bay court on Oct. 23.
The investigation is ongoing with a post mortem to take place in Toronto at a later date.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between Oct. 11 and Oct. 21 to call West Parry Sound OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
