Some Muskoka firefighters are in California to help with the firefighting efforts.
Marshall Clarke, Kevin Skhiani, McGregor Clayton and Station Chief Matt Young, all from the Lake of Bays Fire Department, are currently battling the blazes in Malibu.
The four volunteers boarded a plane on Sunday, and have been helping since they landed, assisting with debris clean up, clearing bush and fuel from fires and more.
Nearly $8,000 has been raised in the days since the fundraiser has launched.
