Seven students and a bus driver were transported to hospital after a school bus and a Commercial Motor Vehicle collided on Highway 69 on the morning of Jan. 20.
The OPP says emergency crews responded to the northbound lane crash shortly before 8:30 a.m.
According to police, 12 students were on the bus at the time, with five taken to hospital as a precaution. Two students were taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, while the bus driver received serious life-threatening injuries.
A portion of the highway was closed for nearly six hours while police investigated.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Further updates will be provided when they become available.
